The magazine says that this is the right time for you all to get a great skiing experience at a great price. In its latest issue, the National Geographic Traveler magazine gives out seven tips on how you can save money on your skiing trips:
1.From now until late February, there is a ‘’hidden low season'’ when rates are lower -kids are back in school and parents are busy paying all the Christmas expenses. Spring is the next best choice fro you.
2. Instead of skiing on four separate days over the season, buy a five-day ticket and go for a week. And next year, get the early-bird discounts that so many resorts offer before the season starts.
3. Rent a condo instead of staying in a hotel. Go in with friends or family to lower the per-person costs, and stock up your fridge so you don’t have to eat out every meal.
4. Stay a few kilometres away from the town where the resort is located. This way, your lodging and restaurants bills are much cheaper, and you may even find convenient shuttle buses to the slopes.
5. Skip the SUV rental. The magazine says airport shuttles to the slopes are often cheaper than renting and driving, and many ski villages are ‘’compact and walkable,'’ so you don’t need any vehicle.
6. U.S. residents should head to Canada: More value for your money there.
7. Check for the best deals on Ski-deals websites like Ski.com. You might also be lucky enough to win some of these operators’ promotions.
