A chunk of low-fare airlines are spreading its wing in India in the second or third quarter of 2006. Jazira Airways from Kuwait and an airline from Saudi Arabia’s Al Tayar Group are joining the action. A budget carrier is also expected from Macau, which is gearing up to host new-gen Las Vegas-styled casinos in this region.

Airfares will fall sharply as soon as these airlines start operating in India and the consumer will be the real beneficiary of increased competition among the airline companies.
