The Youth Hostels Association (YHA), which is facing debts of more than £30 million is going to close 30 + loss-making youth hostels. More than 70 workers will lose their jobs in the process.



Most of the hostels facing closure are in remote areas.

Changing holiday tastes, combined with debts of more than, have driven the Youth Hostels Association (YHA) to take the radical step, which will lead to the loss of about 70 workers.



Hostellers should expect bigger rooms shared with strangers and private showers. Washrooms and Dormitories will be gone too. Alcohol will also be served along with better food.
